Testimonials

I have been working with Liz on a weekly basis since September and have lost 15 pounds in 7 weeks. I'm half way to my goal to lose 30 pounds by Christmas. Liz provided me with a personalized healthy diet and fitness plan with no gimmicks attached. I have tried other fad diets but none of them have proven successful. Liz' program is designed specifically for me taking into account my family lifestyle. During a period where it seemed that I had reached a plateau, Liz made adjustments to my plan and once again I began to take the weight off. I feel stronger and healthier and I know that with Liz' expertise and encouragement I will be successful in attaining my goal.

For 10 years I suffered from a mysterious allergy that could not be identified by any allergist. Every few weeks my skin would become intolerably itchy although no rash was apparent. I was prescribed drugs to take every few days in order to keep the itch under control but I was not given any suggestions as to how I might reduce its occurrence. Liz took up the challenge and I am amazed to say that as of March I have not had an itch attack and therefore thankfully have not had to take any more prescription drugs. Liz' suggestions were all based on dietary changes. Hers were simple and natural suggestions and I feel so much healthier because of them. Thank you Liz.

I have suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the past 8 years. My own medical doctor had no suggestions to help me with this ailment. After several consultations with Liz she recommended certain dietary changes and supplements. I am happy to report that I have not had an episode of IBS in the past four months since implementing her plan. I am a believer in nutritional counseling.

When I reached 40 years of age I noticed that Premenstrual Syndrome was becoming a regular monthly occurrence. I disliked the physical and emotional repercussions of this event so I asked Liz for suggestions. I no longer have any unpleasant symptoms relating to my cycle due to Liz' advice and will continue to contact Liz in the future regarding not only my own health but also that of my children.

"What is food to one, is to others bitter poison." Lucretious

To be sure, food is a very controversial topic these days and that is one of the reasons I went to see Liz. I had mixed feelings about many of the diet plans and drugs on the market, but when I learned that most diets are created and marketed by the food companies (General Mills, RJR, etc.) then I realized that we have all been had. They simply want us buying one package or another of one of their products or another, as that is their business. They care not whether we are eating well, gaining weight or losing weight. They simply have product to sell. When one fad fades, another diet program is created to fill the product gap.

Basic nutrition as presented by Liz was an extremely non-threatening experience. While I had a certain amount of sheepishness to begin with, Liz quickly dispelled this. An easy way to describe Liz is that she is someone who will "accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". She re-enforces your goals without fear of reprisals for failures (which she will tell you are somewhat inevitable).

For me, the biggest benefit other than keeping the sodium out of my diet and dropping 20 pounds was the educational experience. I can't recall going hungry but my diet has certainly changed. Instead of eating the same things all of the time as I used to, I have a huge variety of fresh foods in my arsenal to cook and eat.

In my six visits with Liz I have learned an enormous amount about all food products; what is good or bad about each; and even where to shop for certain things in the city. This is probably my greatest "take-away". I have become an "aware" food consumer – though it is a constant learning experience, as Liz will tell you. (Liz is constantly analysing new product lines and visiting stores to scout out the latest offerings - looking for wild fish to avoid the problems inherent in domestic farm fishing? Liz knows where to look.

In short, Liz has helped me anchor myself to some basic common-sense. I have begun to learn what I was eating as well as ways of improving my eating habits.
